The Castle of Ramazzano, which gives the name to the town, was built in the 12th century by the family Ramazzani, to which it belonged from 1097 till the end of the 16th century.
Restored in the course of time, the Castle keeps its Guelph crenallated walls, a tower, an inner courtyard with a well communicating with cellars and flats with painted rooms.
Its ancient size dominates a fertile agricultural field characterised by flourishing vineyards. Today it has been acknowledged as a treasure of the Cultural Heritage, symbol of the wine tradition of the land, perpetuated with great prestige by Cantine Aliani.
